Interested in IDing the fonts on the sign, particularly the “high fatality road - deaths this year” one.

Anyone got any ideas? Already tried all the usual web tools and came up short.

So close with absolut, but the t doesn’t have a tail at all. Could just be a modified version of it.

Edit: Kinja ate my photo

Yeah, I’m thinking it might just be a weird hand made thing that’s close to but not actually a certain font, it being a movie set piece from the ‘70s and all

Thanks for the help, how’d you find it btw? It’s definitely the closest I’ve found. the a’s are a little off, too, though.

I used identifont.com fonts by appearance with the limited set of letters option. It works sometimes. I tried my fonts.com/whatthefont first with a screenshot but it didn’t detect anything very well.

Sadly, now they just use the US’s Highway Gothic... good luck in your hunt!
